Würth Elektronik rocks DLD: CTO unveils microalgae production collaboration.

At the DLD Conference in Munich, Würth Elektronik announced a new cooperation with Agile Solutions to develop a highly efficient LED lighting system for microalgae production. Microalgae, particularly Spirulina, is a protein-rich superfood and an important raw material for the food and pharmaceutical industries. The optimal growth conditions required for microalgae production in Germany will be achieved through this cooperation. Agile Solutions, in collaboration with Würth Elektronik, has developed a special LED curtain using 700 mid-power LEDs to provide the algae cultures with ideal lighting. The microalgae products market is expected to grow by 10.9% on average, particularly in Europe. As a leading player in this market, Germany is home to 16 microalgae-producing companies.
