In a ceremony hosted by the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education and Oklahoma Association of Technology Centers, Autry Technology Center named Jaren’s Jerky as the 2024 Partner in Progress. The award was given in recognition of Jaren’s Jerky’s outstanding contributions to the advancement of career and technology centers in Oklahoma. Owned by Lester and Jaren Browne, Jaren’s Jerky is a beef jerky manufacturer based in Oklahoma that operates within the Strate Center at Autry Tech, a business incubator focused on fostering entrepreneurship.
Autry Technology Center’s Superintendent/CEO, Dwight R. Hughes, commended Jaren’s Jerky for their commitment to quality, entrepreneurship, and community impact. The event, attended by Oklahoma legislators, technology center superintendents, and representatives from recognized companies, highlighted the importance of advancing career technical education and promoting workforce excellence within communities. Autry Technology Center, serving the Enid community since 1967, offers a variety of career programs, short-term courses, and certifications to nearly 16,000 individuals annually.
